Nice example of the much sought after Boyle & Gamble Confederate Staff Officers sword. Above average as normally seen this would be a nice example for any Civil War collection. Grips and wire are in fine condition with patinated guard and pommel cap. Gun metal gray blade with CS etching clearly visible. Some etching is a little weak but overall intact. Scabbard is a little stiff but all intact and original to the sword. Fresh out of an old Virginia Collection.
