North Carolina style Confederate Sabre Bayonet in dark untouched condition. This one is identical to the one pictured in COLLECTING THE CONFEDERACY by Shannon Pritchard on page 12. These bayonets are also discussed and pictured in LOUIS FROELICH ARMS MAKER TO THE CONFEDERACY by McAden and Fonvielle on pages 72 and 73. These are thought to be manufactured By Louis Froehlich at the Confederate States Armory in Kenansville, North Carolina under contract with the State of North Carolina. Nice patina on all parts with the serial number (46) clearly visible.
